At ContractorCheck, our regular newsletter is a great way to find out what’s going on in the contractor safety industry as well as what we are up to. Here are just a few topics we covered in our last newsletter:
- Marijuana in the workplace—Recently, Canada legalized marijuana, and we covered some of the effects it could have on contractor safety. Employers need to recognize the signs of an impaired worker and know how to appropriately respond to the situation to keep their employees and worksite safe. We also want employers to remember we are here to help because our focus is always on promoting contractor safety.
- Sustainability announcement—Sustainability is and always has been important to us at ContractorCheck, which is why we will no longer send out hard copies of our accreditation certificates. When your company achieves a new accreditation, we will make an electronic copy available to you.
- Interview with RJS Construction—We were able to sit down with RJS Construction from Surrey to chat about health and safety. In the interview, we found out more about this company’s values and how our contractor safety tools have helped them specifically.
